The
cottage is detached with picturesque rear views across the harbour to Scolt Head Island and the sea beyond.
Pear Tree Cottage is on three floors comprising of an
entrance hall/sunroom, utility room, sitting room with
log burner, dining room, kitchen, small lobby and large
wet shower room with loo.
The second floor has a bathroom and loo, twin and double bedrooms.
The third floor has a double bedroom.
Each of the double rooms has coastal views.
The cottage
sleeps 6.
Entry to the
cottage is through the front door and directly into the hall/sunroom
which leads to an attractive courtyard garden.
There is a
spacious sitting room with a wood burner, comfortable sofa
and chairs, freestanding TV/DVD, Video and Hi-Fi. This room leads
through to the dining area where there is a pine table for six which
extends to eight.
The galley
(kitchen) maintains a strong nautical decoration theme. It
has all mod cons, freezer, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, gas hob,
electric fan oven/grill, extractor with a very good universal
selection of crockery, glasses, utensils, picnic ware, even lobster
pics! There is a small utility room housing an
automatic washing machine and separate tumbler dryer plus ironing
board, iron etc.
From the
kitchen, there is a small lobby leading to the rear cottage garden.
Beyond the lobby there is a downstairs loo, basin and large
spacious wet shower room.
Upstairs there
is a bathroom with a renovated freestanding roll top
bath, WC and basin. Cabin 1 has a pine double bed
with fitted dressing table and built-in wardrobe. Cabin 2
has twin wrought iron beds. on the third floor Cabin 3
has a king size double bed with reclaimed beamed headboard and
an originally designed mirrored dressing table built into the old
chimney. This room has the best views of the harbour and coastline.
You can relax in bed and view the wonderful abundance of local bird life wading
on the marshes and enjoy watching the boats pottering about the harbour whilst
drinking your early morning cup of tea! There is a travel cot available on
request. Please supply your own bed
linen for this.
There is an
attractive secure courtyard style garden. From
Easter to October this has a traditional wooden dining table, chairs,
sun loungers and a webber BBQ.
All night
storage heating, electricity, gas, linen, house towels are provided
in the price. (We do not provide beach towels). Limited
logs and coal and BBQ charcoal are also provided. High chair
and travel cot are available.
Available on request is Broadband internet access.

The cottage can be hired on
a weekly basis. Arrival is from Friday 4 pm, departing Friday
10.30am.
Should you require a
different arrangement from those stated above, provided we are able
to accommodate you, we are prepared to tailor your stay to your
individual requirements. We do not
allow pets or smoking in Pear Tree Cottage.

Brancaster Staithe Village
This charming village is gastronomically well supported. There is the
award winning White Horse Restaurant and Pub, the cosy and traditional local pub
The Jolly Sailors and The Deepdale Cafe. All providing wonderful home cooked
food, good wines and ales within walking distance of the cottage.
There is
a good selection of nearby shops and petrol station. Groceries, papers and
local meat and fish are all sold locally.
